Commercial Painting in Halifax

During the on-site visit we discuss what areas require painting, typically in an interior commercial setting this includes walls, window trim, interior doors and trim. Painting includes walls, trim, doors and foundations. We can also discuss potential roofing requirements.

Once we are in agreement about what the project entails, we will make a list of what needs to be completed.

All of the information and the scope of work will be transferred to the quote document detailing all of the work to be completed for the project, along with individual costing of each item, payment terms and methods.

Commercial painting requires multiple visits to be arranged with client. In an office environment it is not uncommon to perform the work in the evenings or on weekends, or both.

• The painters arrive on the job site with the project manager and are introduced to the person in charge of the project.
• Access to the site is discussed and agreed-upon (during office hours and/or evenings/weekends). Parking is arranged, if applicable.
• Timeline is agreed-upon. The painting process begins with preparation of the area, including protection of floors and furniture and setting up equipment.
• Caulking and wall repair starts. 2 to 3 coats of paint is be applied to the walls depending on how drastic the colour change is.
• Window and door casings and interior doors will be prepped and painted as per the colour chosen.
• Drop ceilings and rubber baseboards are usually not painted.

Upon completion of the job, the project manager and the client inspect the work done and determine if any touch-ups are required. If needed, touch-ups are completed at that time. The satisfied customer then signs off on the project.

After the client signs off on the completed project, payment arrangements are made as per the terms and conditions outlined in the quote.
